Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.

Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.

Quit Safari

Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.

Relaunch Safari

If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.

This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet, and the page you entered will appear rather than the malicious one.

Does ur problem sorted as same thing is happening with me and nothing happens it still show me the ad popus same as u mentioned.

Please reply as from store also the technician showing me his iphone and telling me that it happens in my iphone also. I consider that is not the answer.

I am facing exactly same issue.I have tried almost all option but nothing is working. It seems like there is no permanent solution to it except disabling JavaScript. But most of the current webpage normally doesn't open up perfectly , as they use JavaScript.

On what system? This topic is a bit odd, as it was posted in the Logic Express forum, by someone whose profile indicated he was using an iPad. One or both of those things are wrong, so I have no idea what to think about that or other posts here.

If you're using an iOS device, that's the only option, other than the behavior being normal for whatever site you're on. There is no adware for iOS, unless you have installed apps from outside the iOS App Store, in which case your device should be considered compromised and should be restored to factory settings.

If you're using a Mac, the problem could also be related to adware.

I have finally managed to remove it, after having suffered painfully for about a week. All you need to do, atleast here in India, is ask your broadband service provider to do a factory re-set of the wifi modem (you can do it yourself too if you know how to). Please remember to clear all browsing data from all the different browsers you have been using before reconnecting back to the wifi network. Do it for all the PC/devices that are connected to that wifi.

the only way you can solve this is by resetting your network. this happened to me . this adware affect the network and ultimately all the devices connected to it. the only way is to reset your modem or broadband and resetting it with the help of your service provide.this helped me.
